I also read they were coming out with a new album called 4:14 Scream. I thought it would have been released last year.

That's the album I was talking about.

And, I don't have youtube at work. Can't watch all the great stuff ya'll are posting.
But I got everything they have on my ipod, and am listening.

So, what's going on with you? Tell us. Its not like we're all a bunch of random, anonymous internet people. We're here for you.

Thank you so much for your posts. Glad this got you listening to them. I have normal everyday problems . My fiancé was killed a couple of years ago, having to deal with my ex , my mom is sick, teenager son . I put a song of Tha Cure's on really loud and gets my mind off of crap. I love Robert's voice . Also , brings me back to the 80's and those fun carefree times.

A little Grateful Dead always makes my bad days better...you should give their American Beauty album a spin on down days.

Thank you so much Marco for sharing your favorite Cure songs with me and also for recommending American Beauty. I will give it a listen next time I'm down.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Music does help doesn't it?
If you love The Cure, you also might like Clan of Xymox. Especially their older, late 80's stuff.
Also Sisters of Mercy and The Mission(UK).
These are just a few for you to check out, if you haven't heard any of their stuff.

Breaking it out my man.

Mission UK - Tower of Strength (long)

Sisters of Mercy may be getting a little too dark & goth even for a Cure fan.
Sisters of Mercy - Lucretia, my reflection

How about this?
The Cult - Love

Oh and if she's looking for goth, then Joy Division, or how about Siouxie & The Banshees, or early Echo & The Bunnymen?

But if she's depressed, those might push her over the edge.

I was working this post up as you typed that.

This may be more up to a "gals" speed.

Echo & The Bunnymen - Bring on the Dancing Horses

Echo & The Bunnymen - Seven Seas

Echo & the bunnymen - Bedbugs & Ballyhoo

12" remix to Lips like Sugar

My little girls actually like this when it comes on XM New Wave. Ian McCulloch has some decent solo stuff too.

"that's the way the thunder.....rumblllllles." - Echo was one of my favorites back in the day. Or,in this genre, but a little more uplifting than the cure, cult, etc.....

The The - The Beaten Generation

The The - Infected

The The - This is the Day
