I'm currently in the process of learning one about taking the job that absolutely no one else wanted. I took a supervisor/team leader position at my current plant. None of the more senior guys wanted the job(I haven't even been at the plant 3 months when job was offered to me). I always figured it was because the older guys didn't want to take on the stress of the job. As I've found out, it's a combination of not wanting the added stress, and not being able to tell a substantial difference on the weekly pay check despite the raise because of the new wages putting you into a higher tax bracket. Sucks but it's a good opportunity for a 24 year old to get valuable experience and another good looking job on the ole résumé.

Hurry up and sky rocket again oil prices so I can go back to doing what I love....being oil field trash

Let's hear some of your best and hardest learned life lessons

Talked shite. Caught a bottle to the face.

Lesson: if you talk shite, be ready to get hit.

I took the time to read this paragraph, then realized I shouldn't have.

suck it up for as long as you can, that "title" means a lot. It'll pay off in the long run. Let the other fools sit it out, but the admins and top dogs are surely watching that.

Won't go into the story but here are the lessons:

Lord loves a workin' man

Don't trust whitey

See a doctor and get rid of it.

I thought sure this was going to lead to reason you were on probation.

Don't lead her on. It will end up working out poorly and biting you in the arse one day.

Buddy of mine took one home one night for a considerable sum (memory is foggy, but I think $400) and a #2 combo from the Krystal burger on Bourbon Street.

When you move up a little more and hire an administrative assistant. Then I'll tell you a story of what not to do.

I once bought an emerging biopharm equity without putting in a stop loss . I liquidated the position before it floored out but my co-worker wasn't so lucky.
