Xbox One gets over the air TV tuner

Has been possible for a while with using the one guide and kinect to change channels.
It aslo cheaper than the Tuner they are advertising, with some differences in functionality. But you can use an external hardrive to record shows.

unless I can use the Xbox as a DVR I'm not sure why I would get this when I can buy a Mohu Leaf for less and get better coverage.

Are you able to do all of this without Kinect? I have the xbone but it didn't come with kinect and I don't feel like buying it.

Yes
But I would recommend getting the kinect because it's awesome and it adds so much to the xbone experience
