I know people that love this place and go every time they make a trip to Dallas. I've eaten there twice and it's been meh to me both times.

One of the best meals I've ever had and a great suggestion Stach, however I wouldn't consider it "family friendly". I wish I had about four visits and around a $1000 budget. Would plow through the Japanese whiskey next time. Everything was spot on.

Yea, I'm not sure what family friendly means. Families eat at all those places.

Seriously? Damn. I haven' been in a few years, but have always liked Blue Goose.

How could a sushi place be that bad?

Also, not specifically a Dallas restauarant, but you should check out Hopdoddy (burger bar) and Torchy's Tacos.

I liked it years ago. But it went downhill. We try it periodically cuz it's just down the street from us. Always mediocre to nasty. We haven't been in 4 or 5 years though.

Blue Fish always has A funky taste to the sashimi. Last time we ate there we left most of the sashimi and half the rolls is was that bad.. They do have that ahi tuna tower that is ok. But we can walk to Teppo on lowest Greenville or ride bikes to Tei Tei which are two of the best sushi places in dallas.
