Ok.. about Brown Bunny and "the scene" with chloe sevigny

Is there any background on this. As in, were her and Gallo dating at least
My mind is still blown that a legit actress would pull this shite in a film. if its fully for artistic value then..WOW
Im wrapping up season 1 of bloodline and i think about this every time shes in a scene practically. surely im not alone in this. but fwiw i think shes very solid in this series
I havent gone through that whole thread so if its come up before SIAP but now really

That is my understanding.
They didn't make a bunch of money on the film, nor did they expect to. So, if not for artistic value, then she's a freak (win-win, IMHO).
In any event, actors and actresses, however talented are, by and large, normal people. If you consider this essentially normal behavior if NOT in front of a camera, how abnormal is it for a professional actress to perform such an act in front of a camera?

Even still..when she told her agent about this role was he not like..
I mean, i guess her career survived it. but it seems like an insane gamble if you have legit acting ambitions. I get that nobody probably ever heralded her the next meryl streep, but shite

I thought I read part of an interview where she stated she regretted the scene, but I could be totally misremembering

This is correct.
They were dating at the time, she swallowed on camera like a champ.
Then she came out later when they broke up and said she made a mistake, yadda yadda.

From what I've read, they weren't dating and haven't dated each other. I've tried to make sense of it and can't, other than he convinced her it was for art.
