the problem with the 4th season is the way they told the story from each characters perspective per episode. You didnt really get what was happening, and therefore most of the humor didnt come until the end of the season. It was good but obviously the bar was set absurdly high to live up to the original.
This. It was quite good but it took you paying full attention and a one or two session binge at most.

I'm not against the idea of another season, but the kids are too old now, and imagine how bad Portia de Rossi is going to look another few years after the last season.

I tried to watch the reboot season but couldn't get into it. Maybe I will give it another try.

It's development will remain arrested on my TV.

It's such a stupid way of thinking. Why does it matter if they make more? If you liked it, why wouldn't you want more? So stupid.

then dont watch them if you dont want them
its not that hard.

Took me about 3 attempts to finish 4 and right when I was somewhat interested, it abruptly ended with a cliffhanger.
Given that they had no clue if they would be able to have additional episodes, I wasn't happy they didn't wrap things up.

There wasn't much doubt that they would be able to finish it up. Netflix was extremely pleased with season 4, I'm sure they gave them some assurances for renewal

Old actors. Anybody can get busy. I think the whole reason they did the disjointed season was scheduling.
I think there was plenty of reason to doubt additional episodes so I still call BS on not wrapping up the story.
Netflix may be happy but I didn't see remotely the same level of enthusiasm for season 4 from even the biggest fans.

Pretty sure the plan was never to finish it in that season 4
It was originally supposed to be a movie that wrapped things up (and still could be). But of you were expecting them to clear things up at the end of season 4 then you just weren't paying attention

It's like people don't realize the next season will not be like the 4th and everyone will be together at the same time

I really hope you're right. I actually enjoyed the 4th season after about the 4th or 5th episode, but the interactions are what made the first three amazing.

You guys are nuts. Season four was the worst of the four but it was still great comedy. I just kind of gave them grace because of the scheduling issues and enjoyed it for what it was.

Yeah Mitch said he wouldn't do another season unless they were all able to be back together

They need to fix two things from the fourth season.
1) They shouldn't film if they can't get the entirety of the cast working together at the same time. Some of the best stuff in the original run was getting to watch the interaction of the entire cast in a scene. From parties at Balboa Towers to meetings at the Bluth Company to awkward conversations at the model home the show achieved it's most consistent laughs when all the characters were able to riff off one another. I think there was one scene with the entire cast in it during the fourth season, and the quality suffered because of it.
2) Limit the length of episodes. I know they're on Netflix so they can go as long as they want for an episode, but that doesn't mean they should. By sticking to 21-22 minutes an episode on FOX, the creative team was required to write and then cut so that only the best jokes got through. The end result was a show packed and layered with jokes upon jokes. In the fourth season you had episodes like the Lindsay episode that went more than 40 minutes. Way too much fat. If he can get back in the old mindset of restricting time per episode, I think they can fix a great bit of the pacing problems from Season Four.
