Anyone else planning on watching?

Watching it now. Production value is much higher than I expected. Surprisingly good.
I never watched more than 10 minutes of A.D. despite being a Christian. Feels like the success of that allowed them to spend more money this time around.

Just watched ep. 1
People might actually learn something if they gave it a try (Christian or not).

The guy who played Pilate is the guy from 300 and Troy. He was pretty good and the guy who played Caiaphas was good imo. I liked The Bible but in terms of production and acting quality I felt this was better through 1 episode. Also think this is a great idea for a series on a part of the Bible. Most people know the stories of Adam & Eve, Noah, Moses, and Jesus even if you aren't in the Christian faith. Not many people, even if they are in the faith, know about the early church after Jesus' death and crucifixion. One of my favorite books of the Bible is Acts and that is what this series is based off of. Should be a interesting show to watch for 12 weeks.

NBC at 9pm Sunday nights for the next 11 weeks I think.

does NBC have an On Demand portal where you can watch an episode if you miss a week?

I'll have to watch. I didn't know about it, thanks.
Is anyone here familiar with the mini-series called "Peter and Paul" . It aired in 1981. Anthony Hopkins played the part of Paul. I haven't seen it since it first aired, but I remember it being pretty good. Of course, in 1981 I was just a wee lad.
I just realized that all these years later, when I picture Paul of Taursus, he looks like Anthony Hopkins. Pretty funny considering his later (most memorable) role is that of Hannible Lector.
