9" beard / 1" spurs / 19#
We've been after one for him the past couple years and everything finally came together today for us

Awesome! Congrats!
We heard some gobbling at our place last weekend for the first time. Can't wait to put my son on one.

My daughter got her first. Shot it with her bow. I'm still waiting on a picture.

It was one of those "couldn't have worked out any better" hunts. Set up got settled down, hit the owl call and got immediate response from a bird roosted what sounded like about 150 yards away! He gobbled a few more times and I hit him with a few tree yelps...immediate response with multiple gobbles. He continues to flex his vocal cords about 20 more times and flew down. Hit him again with some soft yelps and he was on his way. Took him about 20 min to work in.
Got a little decoy shy it seemed and he started to skirt away, stopped and gobbled. This was about 25 yards away but thru to much brush for a shot. He wanted to walk away but when the hen decoys didn't follow it was to much and he had to come back to check em out after a few soft purrs! Then......BOOM!
