Just pledged to UM. I am not following recruiting closely right now, but was it already known that he was starting to cool on LSU? His rivals profile said "high" interest for the tigers, but idk.

He was a hopeful 2nd QB in the class. But realistically, not. Cole Kelley stock trending up.

We never had a real chance with him. I honestly think LSU takes Franks and calls it a day in this class.

Michigan picked up a QB transfer from Iowa I think...

Ya Rudock went there, but he only has 1 year and Peters doesn't get there until 2016. They have a bunch of QBs on their roster now. O'Korn from Houston is eligible in 2016 too.

He was the one longshot guy we were after. He has to be going to Michigan for the education primarily because he has way too much competition at QB. Not even just this year, but next year he'll have Malzone and Gentry 3-4 years, Speight and O'Korn 3 years, and Morris 1 year.

That's several big arms, several tall guys, a couple tall guys with big arms, and several guys with 2+ years in the system when he gets there. None of those guys are chumps.

Name a coach you'd rather play for if you're a QB recruit than Jim Harbaugh. It's a very short list.

I could think of several coaches that I would want before Jim

Urban did a pretty good job with the 4th stringer.

We are talking head coaches and OCs right? Well, Jimbo for one. Hell, Harbaugh's one big accomplishment is Luck who everybody agrees is a genius.

Now he did raise Stanford up from hell, and made San Fran a 3 year Super Bowl level contender, but he has one guy that he's known for.

Jimbo has sent 3 guys to the first round in Russell, Ponder, and Manuel. Who cares what they did afterward, they were good in college (well Ponder was meh). He's now about to send a 4th consecutive guy to the first round.

Mark Richt/Mike Bobo has had great QB play since Richt got to UGA. Greene, Shockley, Stafford, and Murray.

Look what Danantonio has accomplished at Michigan State since he got there in 2007. Drew Stanton, Kirk Cousins, and now Connor Cook.

I didn't even go to spread guys, just pro style.

247 dropped Cole after the New Orleans Elite 11. Wonder what's up with that.

He signed already? Gee, thought they had to wait until February 2016. Oh, well...

No need for the sarcasm. While there's a chance he reopens his recruitment, chances are lsu was not a serious contender for his services.

Urban Meyer, mark richt, and Jimbo were the ones I had in mind as well, but you're looking at a loaded depth chart situation at those schools as well.

Harbaugh is a great teacher of QBs. He was in the NFL game for a while so people kind of forgot about him on the college level, but he's elite. Look how he improved Alex Smith and Kapernick. Luck was one of the greatest college QBs ever, and he translated well to the NFL.

I'm not saying you can't be a succesful QB anywhere, but if it was my son, Harbaugh is in my top 5 coaches I want him to play QB for in college.

Yeah but pro potential is lesser in an Urban Meyer system. Harbaugh can teach pro style

You don't know shite.
Alex smith is awful. It took him like 10 weeks to throw a td pass this year... And Kaepernick is one the most overpaid QBS they're is right now.
Luck on the other hand is great. Your other examples are garbage
