The wife and myself will be staying at L,aberge Saturday night for our anniversary(free room from family/wife's boss)

Not sure where to go to have a nice anniversary dinner. Any recommendations? She doesn't want to go too pricey though.

Thanks in advance

do not go to 18, the steakhouse at Lauberge--it blows. What's your price range?

To stay in the area, I'd go to:

Bin 77
Nino's
Roberto's (will be casual and less pricey)
Ruffino's
Le Creole

I hear about Ruffino's all the time on 104.5. May have to try them.

J Alexanders isn't bad at all for a chain, you wouldn't think it was a chain.

Whatever you do, STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM ANY RESTAURANT IN LAUBERGE! I would not eat at Stadium if they paid me and that is no exaggeration. Worst meal of my entire life was in that place. The Steakhouse is edible (just) but not for the price they charge.

What happened??
My fiancé and I love eating there.
Been about 6 times and had a great meal each time.
I'm very curious to know... so I can avoid this place if they tamper with food, etc...
Thanks

If it is nice out, go to Tsunami for drinks on the rooftop deck.

If you have never been to Louisiana Lagniappe I would highly recommend it.

Baton Rouge really lacks for fine dining with romantic settings. Most places are pretty casual. Louisiana Lagniappe is one of the more consistently good restaurants in Baton Rouge among the casual dining establishments. One problem is they do not take reservations, but the bar isn't a bad place to wait for a table.

I second the recommendations for Beausoleil and DiGuilio's.

Pinetta's

this. it's my favorite restaurant in town for a dinner with the wife.

fair warning though: it's a hole in the wall. personally i think it's fantastic but if you're the type of person who prefers a big, new, contemporary decor restaurant it might not be for you.

and one of you has to get something with the red sauce because it's the best red sauce you will ever eat.

Pinetta's is a very polarizing restaurant on here...either people love it or think it's a total shithole.

It's okay as long as you bring some dust rags and pledge and no one turns on the lights inside.
