I don't see why not. Yeah, they aren't in the same stratosphere as LSU, but his brother is there, much closer to home and his old high school coach is the head coach there now.

He's going to shine wherever he goes

LSU should win out. uh is in it. all his teammates seem to be going elsewhere. weathersby to LSU, Cleveland to aggies and qb is an aggie legacy. I could see him choosing uh if at one of his teammates was going there but I don't think they can pull him over his stated dream school. Yes, LSU is his dream school and not a recruiting trick.

If his brother and coach really care they would tell him do what's best for your career. How man d-tackles from houston in the NFL? I rest my case

You dont have to go to LSU to make it to the NFL. If he goes to UH its because he wants to be at Houston. Nothing wrong with that.

I would have believed that had I not seen Deontay Grennberry do that recently.

These arent as shocking as they are at least in a power 5 conference, but Stefon Diggs (5 star #2 WR) going to Maryland, and Quin Blanding and Andrew Brown (both 5 star #1 at their position defensive players) going to Virginia.

Would you tell centers not to go to LSU for the same reason? How many centers from LSU are in the NFL?

Soooo he is pulling a Tyron Johnson? Pick some obscure TX team then pulls the trigger to LSU.

You also don't have to do crap at LSU to make it to the NFL (shepard, blue, wright, all the dlineman). He will have to lead the nation in everything to get respect at Houston. I understand that he could still make it playing for Houston but you have to admit he has a better chance making it playing for LSU. If he has 1.5 sacks at Houston his Junior year he would be an undrafted free agent leaving early. Unfortunately he has a chance of being a first round pick at LSU with 1.5 sacks (danielle hunter). No you don't have to go to LSU to make it just don't go to houston is all i'm saying. If he wants to help his brother then committ now and help recruit for them.

The young man has to be thinking he'll get better prepared for the nfl playing in the sec than in Houstons league.

That's a really valid point. Of course all athletes have to work as hard, regardless where they are.. but there is much more room for cushion at such a respected program as LSU. The actual on field stats aren't as significant as the respect of being a talented LSU player.
