My past 20 or so uber in Baton Rouge have been no more $10(majority are $5) Basically downtown to the lakes or other way around.
The same trips would have cost me $20 in a yellow cab

FYI a women Uber driver in BR that drives a white Audi with black rims apparently "works" for tips...or so I have heard.

Trying to find the old Uber thread I posted in about her but someone else posted and verified the same thing, basically said she propositioned him. Friends have said the same thing to me, think she is pretty decent looking but they said she seems to be a pill popper.
Think she works the Coursey area a good bit.

INSURANCE
From pick up to drop off, your ride is covered by a $1M commercial insurance policy.

I have had one bad experience. And know people who have had bad experiences. But those bad experiences would be better than the average cab experience in NOLA.
Some dude that was like 80 drove me home from the airport in the snow and he didn't know how to drive in the snow.

Yup. And as I said, cabbies carry absolutely zero.
It is ludicrous that our minimum limits for cabbies is 25/50 and they aren't required to carry UM.
