I am looking to purchase a shed to store a few items in at my house. I don't need it for lawn equipment or anything like that.

Does anyone own those Vinyl\plastic sheds from lowes or home depot? What are your thoughts?

They hate hurricanes.

Lost mine to gustav. Reassembled using screws. I weight it down with rope and water filled barrels when a storm hits now.

Survived isaac just fine.

I have two from Suncast, both bought off of Amazon, and both have held up great. One is a standing cabinet and the other is a deck box. My backyard doesn't get a shite-ton of direct sun though and it's shielded well against wind.

Have one of the Lifetime ones. Love it. FYI shedsforlessdirect.com has the best prices online or in store that I found, and free shipping.

I just bought the lifetime 7 x 7 shed

that same shed would have been over 1000.00 after shipping and taxes.

It was 778.00 total

They looked flimsy to me. Ended up getting an 8x10 Tuff Shed that's only going to run me $500 more and it's installed on site.

My neighbor has one and it blows into my fence every time the wind gusts to 30mph.

Mine leaks and the doors blow off if I leave them unmatched, so don't put anything electrical in it, but otherwise, I'm good with mine. It's a 4x4 base, 6' h

have a 7x7, little under a year-- so far so good. no leaks, no wind issues. we will see once something big comes through, but weve seen some nice little bursts with no trouble.

Just got the 7x7 Suncast "Sutton" from Home Depot for $599. Went together with 2 people very easily. We did build a raised foundation out of 2x6's, plywood, and deck blocks( per the instructions in the shed. They give you the cuts you'll need to make). They recommend this foundation if not installing on a poured concrete slab.
Overall I'm very happy with it. The reviews on HD's site were very good as well.
Just using it to store lawn equipment(rakes, shovels, push mower, various lawn fertilizer, bug treatments, etc).
It has a 10 yr warranty, but I figure if it lasts 6-7 yrs, for $599, I'm happy. Frees up my garage for the cars.
