Broadmoor backed up to someone's back yard.
McKinley's didn't have a fence, it was part of the football field back in the 80's

No lie: Avenger Field in Audubon Park, home for Newman and Lusher and maybe more, homeplate faces Southwest.
Cannot play when the sun is setting because it endangers the batter
Recently built too; amazing incompetence.

i wonder how that worked...
maybe me and Ken Trahan might have a bit of "5A myopia" or maybe I just really need to drive around
i'm guessing though people don't hear about some of these places because important games don't get played there

I played out at Glen Oaks a couple seasons in district play and right field had a slope going down hill where you couldn't see the right fielder if he chased the ball down the hill.

Still does, and trees overhanging centerfield, probably 10 feet into the playing field.
Tara's field has HUGE holes beneath the left field fence. If the ball gets there, there's no "if it gets under"....It's getting under.
Years ago, either Berwick or Morgan City had light poles in right field, two of them and no right field fence. The ball was in play until it rolled to the school building which was probably 450+ feet, but the poles were at about 285, so they came into play.
Baker's field, at least until about 2 years ago, had no fence along the right side, just an imaginary line from the end of the dugout to the outfield fence.

Anacoco has some weird angles on the outfield fence. Pretty short also.

Short to left too. I used to hate when it was my turn to try and patch up the holes in that chicken wire fence.
Pretty sure 1 or 2 of my HRs my senior year actually went through a hole in that fence.
Also, I vaguely remember St. Paul CF either didn't have a fence or it was really far but was an old backstop from a practice field?

My field. Hit some nice bombs over that left field wall

Let me preface my reply by saying that I played Class A ball in the hills of North Louisiana.
First field, not HS, but Pony League, poles for the lights were several feet inside the feet. Going back for a fly ball was an adventure.
HS field, no fences, standing at home plate looking towards left, it was uphill. They had old wooden dugouts and one cold February day while we were playing there, their team managed to set their dugout on fire. They had built a fire in there to stay warm, but oops.
Another one was put in the corner of their football field. Right field was only about 180 feet, one of our guys hit 3 homers there that would have been fly outs anywhere else.

Cecilia has a pretty oddly shaped field. It's about 315ft down RF and LF lines. The gap to left center goes out to just over 390ft. The right center gap is about 285ft with a 20ft high wall.

Yep, dead center at St Paul is like 440 feet away and consists of an old backstop that faces toward the playing field.
St Paul also had an all grass infield at one point. That was weird.

haha yep, that is what I thought because we had a playoff game at St. Paul and a guy on our team hit a bomb that would have cleared any fence. Centerfielder ran for days and tracked it down.
Also it was rough being an outfielder in that game, damn students were some heckling fools. Hahah

I could be misremembering, but I recall STM in Lafayette had some funky angles in right center. I can't find a pic online though.

Howell Park for the win.
Sometimes people would shoot guns at you, but most of the time they didn't

Pete Goldsby field was fun too. Sometimes kids would come out from the green left field fence and take the ball during a game. Ground Rule Double.
Edit: Well shite, this is nothing like the Pete Goldsby field of the late 90's. What did they fix it up for? Looks pretty cool now.

Belle Chasse is about 240 in right field with a 30 ft tall fence. The whole park is sorta weird with the stands being so close and packed together. 7 year olds cussing me out the entire game also made for an interesting experience

They may have a field but I don't think Fair Park HS has a baseball team.

Played in a D league American Legion all-star game at Pete Goldsby. On that day it was the greatest baseball stadium I had ever been in.

used to love playing there, I was a oppo field hitter from the right side, and would hit bombs over it into the woods

Played a 1A playoff game at Ecole Classique in Nawlins. Center field fence towards right field was interrupted by the football field stands. Light pole from football field was in right-center field about 50' inside the fence. Also there was a cage around the plate and batter's boxes so very few foul balls.
