I'll always call it CEBA, but that building doesn't resemble much of the CEBA building I took classes in.

Legit question, because I don't know. How does an oil spill from a few years ago kill a baby dolphin in 2015? Are they actually eating the tar balls and mats? Has anybody taken a stab at answering the question from a biological standpoint?

At what point have they made restitution for this event?

They used stockholders's money to pay fines. The decision makers did not pay any restitution.

I see this one like the immigration issue.

BP paid a 4 billion fine because the 11 people who died. It could be been manslaughter charges. No one went to prison. No one stood trial.

Same with the immigration issue. Companies are fined for having illegals working there. if the CEO went to jail for 2 years, we would not see repeat offenders.

I think BP public relations advertising is just aggravating a sore spot, because highly trained people keep finding more issues in the gulf. The tar mat looks like a real one.
You can't prove causality to me about Cat island and the mangroves.

Then your issue is with the courts and government. Not BP. For whatever reason, there hasn't been a criminal trial. That's not BPs fault. They've done what had been asked of them ( and more). But at some point everyone has to let go and move on. You don't have to forget, but move the frick on.
As for wanting it like it was before the spill, it ain't happening so tough shite. If BPs PR campaign hits a sore spot, so do the reports about ongoing damage by the environmentalists and bunny huggers. It is what it is, accept it, and get on with life.

What if 6 experts qualified in mangrove mortality opined that the mangroves were killed by Macondo oil?

Then... Move on!!!!!
You ain't going back to Kansas Dorothy. You're still catching fish so let it go.

As for your six experts, over half the meteorologists in the world believe in global warming. Guess you better quit burning fuel in your boat lest you kill us all.

Tar balls on the beach aren't really all that uncommon, even without an accident like BP.

I know they were washing up at least 40 years ago.

If the feds would have stayed out of the capping off the well it wouldn't have taken so long. I'm sure this will continue for a very long time as blaming BP & it should but there are a lot of other reasons for tar balls washing ashore.

My biggest problem with the whole thing is that the money the state is getting for the settlement isn't even going to restore the wetlands, it's going to fund Medicaid. I wish the courts would have made BP fund the coastal restoration groups to actually help build back some of the wetlands, rather than let the money get pissed away.
