I'm not excited abt the jobs program, but they will be required to remain here for cleanup pretty much forever.

I don't think this has much to do with the oil spill, but when I drive along the new hwy 1 bridge going to Fourchon, there's a sickening amount of what looks like dying marsh grass, even in the summer. What is causing that? I mean, it's supposed to be salt marsh, right?

Your chick is either way over exaggerating or full of shite. If anything interesting is brought up at the shrimp task force meeting that is today I'll pass it along.

To be honest even talking with OCS professors, no one really knows. Kind of a freak deal I think.

Occasionally they have that salt marsh brown out/ due it. It's random. Happens a lot more in SW of state.

CEBA?

Jimbeam - Quick thread hijack - is CEBA the nickname of the guy you are referencing? If so I went to college with him many years ago and both ended up in BR working in the same profession just at different companies. Has to be the same guy as that is not a common nickname

- end thread hijack-

Just what I tend to call Patrick F Taylor. On that note, an engineer I know named his dog CEBA. Pretty cool if you ask me.

She said when they went out there catching dolphins with LDWF and NOAA, the shrimpers were all driving their boats around yelling shite at them. Idk why, but that's just what she said. She's also relatively high up in LDWF. Always attending meetings either in New Orleans, Quail Dr, or downtown BR, and can name-drop LDWF, Corps, CPRA, etc like crazy.

Your friend the better looking one who is the ringleader of the dead dolphin catcher crew?

I just couldn't get over the fact that her job was to go pick up rotting dolphins on the beach.

I had to always call in those stinky bastards. At least the turtles looked pretty cool when a big one washed up.
