Go read the law. Not the la or ny times interpretation. You are sadly missing the point. It doesn't give me any more right to discriminate. Read it

This.

I weep for the useful idiots in this country.

Maybe you should get fricked. It's a private business on private property and as such they can do with it what they damn well please. frick your personal opinions and feelings on the situation.

There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream 'Oppression!'
And the oaks just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
'The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light'
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe and saw

I'm sure his son also enjoys taking fat white loads to the face. Hell, I bet sometimes after he gets an anal creampie his partner slurps it out.

Thanks for sharing your intimate sexual fantasies with the board.

Pretty sure that was outlawed a long time ago

Section 2 of the 1964 CRA that deals with "public accommodations" - private businesses open to the public is what I have a problem with. It's big violation of a principle that built western society and kept it strong and that's a the right to private property and your labor.

Now, the rest of the CRA is absolutely spot on in that it deals with public entities as public actors carrying out the role of the state using tax dollars are not allowed to discriminate. I'll even go as far to say that the CRA of 1964, in practice, has been a tremendously positive piece of legislation. It just violates some fundamental rights we are supposed to hold sacred including private property. Particularly so with section 2.

No shoes no shirt no service as cliched as it is speaks more to the rights of private business to do business with whom they wish

Yep and I think everyone backs the business on this one. However if they refuse to serve someone that is transgender there will be hell to pay. Tolerance only when someone agrees with them.

This is literally the first time I've heard of customer rights.

Says a lot about who I'm debating with.

Do you even Padilla bruh? You can set the precedent and allow the the ruling ideology to discriminate against whoever, but when the new ideology uses the previously set stupid precedent, shite will hit the fan.

Everyone is a "bigoted dick."

Everyone discriminates. Even you.

We aren't going to lose gas rights from the Middle East because of some precedent set in Indiana and a few other states.

If you really believe that than Allah help you.

He was such a big gov't loon that was so loony that he's just a blank spot in my mind and I can't access his loony ideals. You could call it white noise I guess.

This may be the most overreaction I've ever seen. I mean, there are people dying, being beaten, hungry yet we're worried some gay couple can't get cupcakes.

Don't really have a problem with Haden speaking his mind and making a stand on this issue.

From a financial angle, I think it's pretty stupid for the state of Indiana to pull this stunt. Especially in the political climate we live today. We'll see how far so industries are willing to back off from dealing with the state of IN.

Ok, I'm not arguing that specific point. My point is a wider view of the laws of the U.S. Permitting one group by law to discriminate against another opens a can of worms that myopic fools (anti gay christians) don't ever recognize. The power is in the precedent, not the specific law.
