I think it's pretty silly considering they have carvajal who is like 24 and is a pretty good RB, along with Arbeloa. But arbeloa is probably gone after this year with this news, and the rich get richer. He is a great player

Him and Marcelo as a starting pair of fullbacks is going to be retarded.
Speaking of Marcelo, I didn't really realize what an incredible player he was until watching more and more of him the past couple years. Seems like he's always involved when they are playing well. It took me a while to come around on him. He seemed lazy sometimes and did stupid things in big games. But man, what a talent he is. It's awesome that he put it all together.
Anyway, just a random observation. Sorry for the thread hijack. Carry on.

Last time Real Madrid paid 30 mil for an outside back from the Portuguese League, it didn't work out for either party.
