I went alcohol free for a 3 years stretch once. Personal reasons. I love beer, but I know I can live without it.

About a year ago, I felt like I was drinking to much on a regular basis so I gave it up for lent. I felt so good, was much more productive, and just overall a better contributor to society so soon after that just quit entirely. Life is so much more enjoyable at 100% instead of half hungover all the time.
