OK - I like frigid cold beer with mine. But some folks want wine (whining for wine....) Is there a type of wine that goes with this? I thought maybe a white (maybe pinot grigio). Or a spritzer. Any ideas? Requested for my husband's family --- not mine.....

Snow creek berry is my go to.

Strawberry hill is acceptable also.

I drink cold beer with mine, but, if drinking wine gotta be white right? Red wine with crawfish doesn't sound appealing.

I love wine but not with crawfish. I'd only have a rose or sauvignon blanc.

Maybe New Age White. Has a little fizz. Served over ice with lime it is called a Tincho. Good summer drink.

Idk... A super dry merlot could stand up to crawfish pretty well. And would handle the sausage and garlic too.

I don't wanna try, boils are expensive as is.

I always serve beer with boiled seafood, but if I had a guest who asked for wine I would serve a nice chilled Sauvignon Blanc. Joel Gott, Geyser Peak, Simi, Chateau Ste. Michelle (Washington State) and St. Supery all make delicious, inexpensive sauvignon blanc.

Or maybe a nice Spanish Albarino.

Rose might work, but I wouldn't drink anything but beer with my crawfish.

My wife found this and it's supposedly 'the wine to serve with crawfish'

Cheap white sangria would be my guess, but I've nevr had anything with crawfish other than beer.

Find a vinho verde. Whole Foods and other spots sell one by La Famega. It has a slight effervescent quality and great acidity and its like 8.99 a bottle.

Trust me on this if you please...the best pairing for boiled crawfish is a white with a touch of residual sugar but not sweet. Kabinett or trocken spatlese Riesling, Oregon pinot Gris, Chenin Blanc/Viognier blends would be common go to wines. Too acidic and you take away from the spiciness of the dish. The acidity from the lemons commonly used in boils will ad to this as well and these wines will elevate the natural seafood flavors of the mud bugs in a positive manner. Cheers!

I just wanna say, when I was younger I drank a good six or seven bottles of strawberry hill.

I was so drunk I was stumbling around crying at one point.

The next morning...was even worse.
