I don't think we lose much cause I've seen victor workout with coach Patrick before a game and dude has a ice jump shot and good size to bang underneath. Simmons gone hold his own I think. With the offensive talent we have coming in with Simmons Blakeny Victor and possibles (Newman and Sampson) we will out score a lot of teams.

So who comes off the bench for Victor?
Robinson?
Malone?

Depth down there still sucks.

Will be same situation as this year.

Will barely make tourney and get bounced early.

we'll have to play small a lot. We don't really have a true big man. And we have a plethora of wing players

I like the idea of So Robinson and Jr Malone better than Fr Robinson and So Malone....

Not to mention So Epps could be better than Fr Epps.

Don't understand how Robinson could have been a worse play than Malone this year.

That doesn't make me very optimistic about Robinson. How many guys become great players when they couldn't get on the floor with scrubs ahead of them?

Robinson is a coordinated 7 footer... However, he had lost a ton of weight and was still getting use to his new body. Given more time to prep himself for the speed of the college game, which is much faster than the high school ball he had played and he could become a very good player. He was a top 5 center out of high school.

Yeah I understand all that.

I'll try to refrain from judgement until this next season. I just assumed the weight loss and all that would lead to minutes and production this year as opposed to next.

We all hoped it would.

however, I don't think his lack of PT this year means he cannot contribute next year. He still had the experience of seeing the game, practicing with great players, learning how to utilize his new body style.

If LSU plans to fight for an SEC crown or an elite 8/final four type run, they will have to have another forward step up besides Victor and Simmons, however, I think we have some guys who are fully capable of doing that.

What's the deal with Sampson?

Is LSU in play for him now that Lavin is out?

He has re-opened up his recruitment. Won't help LSU down low, but I know we contacted him already. We shall see how things shape up.

Victor has a ton to prove too. He wasn't very good in his short stint at AZ

He shot 61.5% from field goal range and averaged 17.46 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per 40min. He just couldn't get PT for a team loaded with 5 star talent PF's...

He would have had the highest offensive efficiency on LSU's roster this year, highest offensive rebound % and would have had the highest fouls drawn %.
