so that's a negative

Some find it to be a positive.

Most people would be happy to work doing something that doesn't feel/seem like work.

I don't claim to be doing something lofty or glorious... My little sister is a transplant surgeon for frick sake. I get to be the free spirit in my family.

I had shrimp.

I had a nice voice mail from someone claiming I stole from them. Great way to start the day.

pouring a drink does not provide your value

knowing your spirits and attentiveness to customers is where tending bar earns the paycheck

cooking a fat ribeye tonight.

check the food board...i find the reverse sear sous-vide method and then transferring it to the new and improved 1500 degree big blue egg grill after microwaving on high for 2 minutes...but this is only after letting the steak age for 45 days in a yeti cooler.

I'm going to save that experiment for a weekend... Seems like a Sunday afternoon thing to me.

I let mine come up to room temp while marinating and flash sear about 45 seconds on each side twice (3 flips). Finish in oven on 275 if it's over an inch thick.

Marinate in butter, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, worcestire that's been sweated with red onion and garlic. It's soooo fricking good.

You guys.

You seem to think that I'm doing this by default and for not so great money.

Bacon cheeseburger, fries, iced tea

Almost couldn't eat it. One lady in the group at the table next to me was wearing enough perfume to gag a maggot. What really made it bad was we were sitting outside with a breeze blowing.
