yes, I know I'm the turd in the punch bowl, but who cares about polls (even worse, pre-season polls).

RPI has a bit more relevance but of course it only becomes relevant later in the season after many games have been played. But any poll (in any sport) based on media members voting isn't worth a plug nickel.

Besides, it's the selection committee that decides who gets in the Dance and what seed they are, so I don't give a flip where we're ranked in some silly voter poll. Just do well in the conference, get in the tourney with a good seed, and do damage.
