I just realized yesterday while doing some yard work, that in 14years I've never spoke to my neighbors. They're not right next door. There's like 1/4 mile of woods between us. My neighbors on the other side of me never attempt to speak when they're outside. They moved in about a year ago.
I'll always say hi, but I'm not the sort to chat it up at the mailbox or anything.

Used to talk to one all the time, then he moved. The new neighbor avoids situations where he has to talk to me or really anyone.
My other neighbor is mentally ill (From a blow to the head during Katrina) so I avoid convos with him as much as I can. His wife's nice tho.

Neighbors always talk to me about my dog when they see me taking it out. Other than that I pretty much just keep it to hello and have a good one.

I have a horrible track record with my neighbors.
One family is okay, until he started shooting squirrels out of my tree while my daughter was in the back yard. We talk regularly, but we aren't all involved in each other's lives.
The other side is a 90+ year old man I've spoken to once. His son in law that keeps the yard up is cool.
The neighbor behind me hasn't liked me since I almost burnt his storage shed down last year. (It was an honest mistake)
Then, just this past weekend I hit another neighbors house with a golf ball while he was outside. I was chipping around and caught the most beautiful flush shot ever. It took off like a rocket. I was really embarrassed about that one.

She does. Her husband was a carpenter and made some amazing furniture. She has given us a few things here and there. Her daughter and son, who we also have a good relationship with, don't have any kids. She's made several comments that we'll receive some stuff after she passes.
It's weird to say kids because her son is in his mid 70's and daughter is late 60's.

I like all my neighbors. They're building luxury condos next door that will open this summer, we'll see how that goes.

I have this one old guy that lives alone..he always has this hot little blonde over there. We think..errr...we know it's an escort. Whenever I see them get out of the car and walk into the house, he and I exchange air high fives from across the street.

All my neighbors are trashy AF so I try not too.
What do you think this says about your trashiness quotient?

I only opened this thread because I read it as 'Do you spank your neighbors?' What a dissapointment.

Yes all the time. I would love to bang the shite out of the chick that lives two doors down. sorry no pics. Too bad she is married to a total affliction wearing douchebag. Looks like a Florida Georgia Line groupie.

Talk to mine daily. We all get together and cook/drink 2-3x a week.

When I first moved in, the neighbors on both sides of me were old and nice. Right side neighbor's wife recently died, so he moved and sold the house to a early-20s guy who's about to get married. He was sociable on day one, and I can tell he's going to be a good neighbor.
Left side neighbors were in their late 80s and died a few years ago. Then a late-30s-ish couple with two kids moved in. The wife is a bitchy blonde with that perpetual blank look where you know there's not much going on behind her eyes. I can hear her yelling at someone every day, either her kids, husband, or someone on the phone. They have a stupid maltese that hates everyone and everything, barks constantly when they let it out and growls at everyone it sees. I've never wanted to punt a dog more in my life. They also let it roam around without a leash. It wanders from yard to yard, out in the street, pissing and barking.
I don't talk to those neighbors.

Not really - speak to some more than others, but generally we all keep to ourselves.

I talk to a lot of neighbors. Then, I have a lot of gay neighbors and they are just happen to be really talkative.

We just moved to a new neighborhood in December. There's a married couple we hang out with often. That's really all. There's another couple across from us I'd like to get to know. They seem pretty cool. The single guy across the street seems to keep to himself and I doubt we'll ever hang out with him. Hopefully over the years we'll get to know the others more.
