REM and the like...

I always hated the combination of overplayed country and rap songs. To me it was commentary on the bar and crowd it attracted.

The early 2000s must have been a really weird time to be in college.
Cellphones and the internet starting to become mainstream changed a lot.
The majority of homes only had dial up service and people paid for aol subscriptions. The dorms had broadband, so college kids discovered IM's and Napster pretty quickly.
It was also the birth of new types of reality television with Survivor.
ETA - Was totally off on the Real World, that was when it was in New Orleans and already shitty.

Luke Bryan I'm sure. The main genre I hear is Rap, and basically just rap. Bring funk back. And also play PYT, Return of the Mack, Everybody Dance Now, and stuff like that. I'm tired of hearing that Kevin Gates I don't get tired shite. Yea, you do get tired.

During 2006-2010 the bars in Tuscaloosa played a mix of 80's rock, 90's alternative, country, rap and jam bands. It really was a mix of everything.
This is the soundtrack to my college career though. It played on repeat at the house I lived in with my buddies.

Jungle Boogie
Shake, Shake, Shake
Shake your groove thang
Sexual Healing
etc etc
Good old all American music that helps a man get a womans legs all up about his ears
