Wednesday - DAL @ OKC; NOP @ LAL

Friday - OKC @ MEM; NOP @ SAC

Saturday - NOP @ POR

Sunday - HOU @ OKC

this week is real good looking for the Pelicans... esp. if Jrue & Ryno come back during this road trip... which (if you listened to Joel during today's game) sounds very, very possible

by next Sunday night... we very well could be back to within 1 game of OKC for 8... if not less

By sunday night, it could reasonably be:

OKC: 43-34 (1-2)
NOP: 42-34 (3-0)

For them:
Houston and Memphis are both fighting for the #2 seed
Dallas is trying to avoid a monumental collapse after losing 2 straight. They're going to be on their A game like last time.
Their next 4? @OKC, vs HOU, vs GS, vs PHX
Their last 8? Add on @Den, @LAL, @UTAH, vs POR

For us:
LAL is secretly tanking
SAC is going to be a gritty game, but I think this team can pull it off.
The question mark will be from Portland who is somewhat questionable with their injuries, but you can never discount their team chemistry.

I could very well see this going 2-1 or 3-0 for us. If the basketball gods favor us, we could very well be sitting at 8 by week's end.

OKC has 8 games left, Pelicans have 9.

If OKC goes just 4-4, the Pelicans have to go 7-2 to get the 8th seed.

That's tough.

It's real simple. It's time for the Pelicans to win every game they should and a couple of tougher ones. If they do that, they should be okay. But we'll see.

the problem with OKC's schedule is they are going be in virtual cruise control with their last 4 games…they will be favored to win all 4 games with Portland being the only hard one but it's at home…given what's on the line, I find it tough for Portland to pull that out.

Essentially, we need OKC to tank these next 4 against tough competition, and every game for us as a favorite is a must-win. We can't lay another egg rest of the year. Gonna be really difficult.

As long as we match them at some point in the loss column we control our own destiny after that, correct?

Gay is missing at least Wednesday with a concussion, so he could be out Friday too.

That would be so gay if he played and shot all up in our faces.

oh great no Gay or Cousins...that's not good for us, we do better when the team we play is at full strength

this is awesome that we are down to a few games and we are actually still in this.

if OKC makes the playoff Westbrook should get the MVP. I mean his team lost KD, not just a good player last years MVP

Watching on league pass. Mavs had a foul to give so they fouled and Westbrook jacked a 3 from nearly half court and they call in the act of shooting. I've seen players try that crap all the time. Especially Chris Paul, and I used to get mad that they never called it. Well, they called it and I've never seen that call actually been made. Unreal. F turtle head Westbrook
