Yea, this church should not be tax exempt and I'm hoping that Travolta decides to open up and let loose on it one day.
One of the good things is that their church base seems to be shrinking.

At some point one of these celebs are gonna be set enough that they're not worried about the backlash in Hollywood regarding their "secrets" and they'll finally spill on this bunch. But I can't foresee any of them doing it while they're still working actors.

For anyone more interested in exposes of Scientology read one of or all three of these books:
Going Clear by Lawrence Wright' he goes into so much more detail of Scientology all around in the book.
Inside Scientology by Janet Reitman, another brilliant expose that is meticulously detailed and an interesting read.
Beyond Belief by Jenna Miscavige (David's niece.) She goes into many specifics about how she was mistreated even as a young child and separated from her parents who were also Scientologists. And she talks about what a count David is and how he physically abuses people. (the other two books mention David's physical abuses too.)
All three excellent reads.
Overall the doc was a great introduction to the atrocities of Scientology. I am disappointed though that they didn't mention poor Lisa Mcpherson.
This poor girl was running on the freeway naked and screaming you can find lots of info on her on the net, here is one article:

I got real into reading about Scientology when I was in Barnes and Noble and saw a New Yorker with an expose article by Lawrence Wright inside. It is a very long article, it was almost 20 pages in the magazine but it's a great read.

I really want to know what happen to the girl that was setup to date Tom Cruise.

She is an actor. She was on Homeland I think.

I should have clarified. I'm curious if she's still apart of the church or not.

Does anyone know where I can watch this thing without HBO?

That's not what happens. Like the guy said in the documentary, you don't get to that part until your knee deep in debt to the church and have been brainwashed for 7 years
And then at that point it's a problem of a Sunk Cost fallacy
It's easier to accept Zenu as a real being than it is to admit to yourself that you've given your life and money to this just insanely stupid cult.

Just watched it. Wow. Pretty fascinating stuff. I think most people already knew these guys were fricking weird and corrupt. But now we have a little more details on the situation. I plan on reading the book to find out more stuff. I think John Travolta is the closest of the famous people to come clean about the corruption. Only time will tell.

But I'll bet they've got dozens if not hundreds of minions scouring the internet for references to the documentary, so somebody is probably reading this thread. To them, I say
