Disappointed as well. Daryl & Aaron surviving was chicken shite convenience (they both should have died IMO). Glenn somehow lives too - really? Rick, Michone and Carol are the only characters I give a damn about anymore. Morgan/Rick conflict seems inevitable next season.

Yeah, this episode totally killed my assumption of what the Wolves were like. I figured they would consist of at least a dozen well armed people. They don't even have any bullets.

.herd walkers into the truck, then take said truck and ram them into communities

I would've liked to see how the hell he got out of that spot he was in...it sure looked like he was toast and I would've bet the house that he wouldn't have walked away from that.

Yep. That's what that wolf at the beginning was talking about when he said that he was going to be taking Morgan with him.
Motivation for the wolves is simply that they see themselves as a warrior tribe. They are stealing supplies and eliminating threats in a manner that makes them more feared. I think there are examples in history of different tribes acting in "barbaric" ways for culturally warlike purposes and to instill fear in their enemies. This is the world reverted in th Zombie apocolypse.

Yeah, the wolves aren't some high powered army. They see themselves as the rightful owners of the land. Like the wolves were before they were hunted until they were completely gone from the area.
They think they need to multiply and bring the population back....with the help of walkers.

I've been contemplating why they chose the name Wolves for themselves.
1. "Lone Wolves" separated from the pack and they get to make their own rules now.
2. Wolves are Apex predators. Top of the food chain.
1 works if they are just a couple of guys.
2 speaks to a larger society with hierarchy, pecking order, etc... They only take in the ones that will be the strongest and best able to help them survive while maintaining the existing power structure. Everyone else is killed off.
Either way - using walkers to do their dirty work is good strategy.

Pulling a fat rope through a neck, this show has jumped the shark!

The wolf that met with Morgan at the beginning of the episode said that European settlers in that area paid Native Americans and other settlers for wolf hides to clear out the wolf population in the area. It didn't take long for all the wolves to get killed off. He also said that the Natives believed that men came from wolves. Therefore by calling themselves wolves they were returning from whence they came.
That's why I'm thinking about making the warlike tribal customs connection. I'm thinking something like Aztec, Navajo, or Maori, but I don't really know a ton about anthropology.

He lived and had mercy on that jerk. They we're headed back to Alexandria while everything else was going down.

Yeah like this was the most unrealistic thing to happen in tonights episode.
I am wondering if the bullet that went through the window of the church might have killed someone outside but wasn't shown tonight.
The little boy he wasn't at the meeting, the girl Carl likes, etc......
