Coach Cal is so much better than people give him credit for. He slaughtered Brey late-game. ND was having success because of their incredible spacing, cuts and passing, and then Brey decides to milk the clock and iso Grant on their last real posesion?

News flash moron, theyre Kentucky and you're ND. You don't win because of isolation play. You win because of the system. They lost the game on that possssion IMO.

Tell me how much better Brey was for the first 35 minutes of the game to get into a position to beat a team with 5 potential first rounders. If you are going to give Cal credit for his late game calls, which I don't since it was a 30 foot 3 pointer without any real setup and a drive to the lane that wasn't some great play that won the game, then you have to give Brey credit for slaughtering Cal for 35 minutes.

So? Brey and his players folded like a cheap chair under Larrys giant arse when it mattered.

I do give brey and NDs players credit. They deserve all ghr credit and respect but in the end they lost the game. And cal has a knack for winning games he maybe shouldn't. When it comes down to it he's a winner and he wins a lot.

Roy Williams does not have a "great system" and makes Cal look like a basketball genius

if anybody is in the "can only recruit" boat, it's big roy. there is a reason UNC has sucked dick the past few years with insane talent

CBB = cheating

all these "woe is Notre Dame" people are ignoring the fact that brey cheats, too. you don't get a good team in CBB without cheating

Brey calling his last TO to set up the defense was a mistake in hindsight, but his mistake doesnt make Cal a late game genius.

Everyone froze offensively for ND on the last few possessions. Conaughton was a statue and auguste seemed scared to shoot.

Wiscy will beat them, and if not, Gonzaga will

By all means please enlighten us as to what a "true team" is?

This.

A true team will indeed bag them.

Jesus Christ dude, WCS and Towns were 13-18. Holy frick. What are you talking about?

They shoulda been 40-42.

The flying goatee is like 6'5 and he's guarding one of these dudes the entire time. I have no clue how they didn't casually shoot over him every single play, but they didn't. Props to Kentucky for pulling it out. They've been tested a couple times this season and have pulled it out this year.

This game was just the perfect example, for me, of why Kentucky could not compete against the historically great teams of the past. Notre Dame's cutting, cohesion, and chemistry were absolutely top notch, and that's because they're a veteran team that's been playing together. Kentucky has done a great job of developing as much chemistry as they can, but you just can't replicate time.

It's not a critique on something these kids couldn't do (if anything I think they've proven that with time they could and it sucks they'll never get that opportunity given the times we're at right now), but the teams in the past had similar talent but they also had the experience. This team could not keep up with the upperclass-laden UNLV, UNC, and Duke teams of the past.

It would be awesome to see what this team could be, though, with time, because they're are arguably the most physically talented team of all-time.

Uh KAT DID shoot over him every single time and score Again, what game were you watching? What you saw was UK methodically beat ND down with patience. For all of NDs effort and experience, it still wasn't good enough. And that IS proof of UKs greatness. People act like these all time great teams just steamrolled everyone but that's simply not true.

In terms of selflessness, there is no "truer" team than Kentucky.

Can we please stop with the idea of Kentucky beating an NBA team?

I'm rooting for Kentucky to go all the way but I feel like they've beaten a few teams this year that were better than them, or at least had them beat but then choked. I was hoping that a 38-0 team would be more dominant. I expect them to lose every game they play now, but kudos to them for figuring out ways to win.

We're still waiting on that "true team" definition and how it doesn't apply to UK.

For all of these other teams "experience" they sure blew it at the end. Where UKs underclassmen stepped up and showed themselves to be stone cold killers. But that doesn't fit some peoples narrative. That game was NDs to lose and they froze under pressure and blew it.
