Yea I cant bekieve some of that either. Les said Jennings threw 2 td passes. Then he says Chalk caught 2. Then between Washington and Quin there were 3 more. Thats 5. Who threw the other 3. He didnt say how many tds Harris threw.

Thoughts? I think you don't know how this football thing works just yet.

We talking about practice. Not a game.

The offense will be much better, but the reason for so many TD was over half the scrimmage was in the red zone. There is some serious speed in the WR, in fact in the entire offense. A lot of the problem last year was inexperienced WR. This should improve greatly. In fact Chark is making everybody else like, say Quinn step up.

Why are you are fan? LSU has only won 3 national titles in the history of the program.

Scrimmage stats are always contorted to the offense when a team is playing itself.

I can almost guarantee this guy hasn't watched a single game played prior to 2001.

Been watching LSU play since the early 80's...was at the Earthquake game. Always thought we underachieved and watched all the NO talent go to FSU, Colorado, Miami, etc-
We have to keep expectations and standards right...period. This is a huge year for LSU football....anyone that does not see that is an idiot-

We aren't going to be good all the time, yeah there is talent in LA, but you can't field 22 positions with instate talent alone and expect to win the sec. Just doesn't work like that. We really don't have much better facilities than most schools, I'd say we are even with a lot and behind a lot. Baton rouge outside of the campus is a shite hole, and the academics are shite. So the run we have been on will come to an end. And most likely sooner than later.
You said you can't take another season like last season, which for most of my life, outside of the Miles tenure, is a good season for LSU.

The only thing that you are going by is what a known liar said. Good luck with that.

I doubt they're dialing up blitzes on the green jerseys. We're fine.

Dude you can't take scrimmage stats worth a shite
Pretty sure miles just makes up the stats right before he gets to the podium

The way LSU does it is first down at the 25, then 20, then 15, then 10 then 5. Of course the scored thats the purpose of the scenario.
Our d will be fine

White, Paris, KTII? Sounds like a good problem

Controlled scrimmage. 100 or more Scripted plays for the offense. Goal-line plays. Guys, no one is going to shut down an offense with backs and receivers like LSU has in a scrimmage, regardless of who the QB is or how he plays. Hell, the LSU rushing attack alone could score on most teams without a solid passing game. So if the receiving game has improved as advertised, the defense would have a difficult time keeping them out of the end zone the majority of the time. LSU's team speed on defense this coming season will be as insanely good as it has been for years. Most of the time they will not face backs, receivers or Olines as good as the one they practice against. QB play is TBD but the team is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball with plenty more help on the way this summer.

quote:WTF are you talking about? I said we may have a losing record, and you're telling me not to take Miles' overinflated stats from his press conference. (as if I'm saying we'll go undefeated)
Look, I am just as optimistic about Les/the offense/the QB/ Kevin Steele hire this year as the next guy, but if you are basing that statement on some spring scrimmage stats, you aren't very smart.
Not only will Les lie about the stats and pull numbers out of his arse to appease the media, but the scrimmages are extremely situational based. They could have ran 80% of their plays in the red zone for all you know. Take everything from the spring with a grain of salt
My reasoning btw, and hopefully Im wrong, but we've lost our best OL which will not be replaceable. We could ONLY run the ball last year and that probably wont change this year much. We'll have a brand new defense. Anyone who thinks we'll have a top 5 or top 10 defense in Steele's first year is dreaming. I'm just looking at reality.
