Yes. Basic stamped and stained concrete is running $8+ per sq ft last I looked into it. That's one stamp and one color and that's if the finisher has the stamp you want to use. It can get way more for anything elaborate with multiple colors. The pictures in the OP are more than one color in order to get the wood-like look.

You can have wood floors laid for way less.

you have it reseal every 2 years or so and its good to go at least outdoors..ive never known in anybody in biz who does indoors, maybe epoxy finishes but not stamped concrete

it looks like a fad that will be laughed at in 10 years. Fake anything kinda sucks.

You should check out this stuff called Hardi siding

Idk what there would be to laugh at. Your not trying to deceive people into thinking theyre walking on brazilian cherry. And its a lifetime flooring solution

Even outdoors, after a few years the finish fades if exposed to direct sun. Plus indoors, the finish will eventually wear off, then you will really have a bad looking floor

Concrete stain has improved drastically and doesn't wear as easily as it used to. It also depends on how good your prep work is. The better you clean it prior to staining, the better it will hold up.

Plus, you can also have it dyed during the pour so the color is through and through though it will still show some signs of fading over time.

No. We pay around $6 for stamping and staining. You can get lower end wood floors or engineered wood floors for that.

Why would anyone pay for that fake shite if they can get real wood for the same price? Ppl stain concrete because it's cheap.

You pay $6 for basic stamping and staining. Probably just some simple paver patterns. You aren't paying $6 for what's in the OP. That falls under decorative concrete and is way more. That's unless Bama is just an anomaly compared to the rest of the country.

Hardi sucks. That's all they use on new builds in the heights and it looks like shite.

P.s. if I build a new house I'll probably use it

So was vinyl flooring that looked like wood. It's Not that fashionable now. I just don't like flooring that imitates something else. This stuff makes no sense anyway since it's more expensive than the stuff it's trying to imitate.

Would have been more impressive to just do a regular stain. That looks like donkey shite.

Wut? I know the standard is a concrete apron, but I have seen composite wood decks around inground pools and think it looks really good if done correctly. It ends up looking like shite like most wood decks, but it looks good initially.

I've seen it more around the inground fiberglass pools FWIW.

By the time you pay the finisher to stamp it and stain it correctly you might as well put down real wood.

This, especially with the lifetime warranty on most new hard wood floors.

But that concrete still looks amazing.
