crawfish thieves wanted $2.75 lb....so i caught my own...

About 35# wet...Found a few spots the past couple of weeks but they were small...this week they were nice though...

I saw them at $100/sack last weekend. Best I could find today was $2.79/#. Called 2 or three others today that were all over $3/#

Nah...About a mile long canal...that is basically landlocked now since Katrina flood protection...produces well every year since and is a well kept secret....gets good late April early May...lots of snakes and coyotes too...

That's live...but that was the best price I got by calling around Thursday...Mandeville seafood on La 59

Prices always go up on Fridays during lent...friggin scalpers...

I'd have probably paid the $2 mentioned by someone in pascagoula..

I worked my arse old for those 35#s setting traps out yesterday evening and running deep water nets via pirogue for 4 hours today...Abita Ambers had this evening were well deserved...

Haven't had any yet. SIL has been selling all that he can catch. He is getting $2 a pound for his. Maybe tomorrow he is going to bring a couple sacks over to boil.
