Ugh.. I feel bad for KD. He hasn't had many highs since Mother's Day last year.

God all the bitching about DRose pissed me off. A part of fanhood I guess I will never get.

There's certainly a "who are we to tell this dude when he's ready", it's his career on the line element to it.

But...when multiple coaches are out there saying they've never seen a guy in full scrimmages for more than 2 weeks before they come back and Rose was doing it for 2+ months, it's certainly something that makes you scratch your head there.

We just always like to blame people when sometimes shite happens. Though I'll admit, that's a shitty argument since I blame DRose and OKC for both as well, but I take some responsibility in that as well

Good point. In a perfect world, the team would always look out for the players. I have loved how the Rockets have handled Dwight Howard this year, although a lot of that probably has to do with lessons learned over the handling of Yao Ming's injuries.

I think he's referring to bringing Durant back too early

If I was in KD's position, I would absolutely blame the Thunder. I'd be surprised if he stays there.

Did they force him to play in the All Star Game too?

Absurd to criticize the Thunder front office. They have always been extremely cautious with guys coming back off injuries. Almost to a fault.

It didn't heal properly. Durant is tougher than you think and I'm fairly certain after his first round of post-surgery rest probably thought he was good to go. But after playing for a few weeks, it got bad again.

Don't know what OKC could have done differently. I mean he's gone to like 4-5 specialized surgeons at this point.

I'm just pissed that they tried bringing him back too early like 3 different times this season to chase a damn 8 seed. The guy is 25, his long term health should have been 1000x more important.
Hindsight's 20/20. But, yes, he obviously came back too quickly.

Funny, though. Everyone felt exactly the opposite re: D-Rose playing it safe.

if they just did the surgery he is getting right now then he likely doesn't have the complications he has had. The recovery time was too long tho....

One time was the game in Memphis where he looked terrible then sat out the next 2 or 3 games.

This is depressing. Gonna have to do with watching Westbrook and Co. try their best. Come on Thunder!

Yes. MJ did. But I think Durant's height could be the story. The guy is a freak of nature.

I think it's more about weight than height. Kevin Durant is tall but is not very heavy.

Yao Ming was way taller than Durant, much heavier, and had feet that were too small for his body.

I always thought the people blaming D-Rose were idiots. He knows when he's ready to come back. If he's not ready, then he's not ready. Get off his case. That's how I felt about it.

Durant wanted to run his mouth to Dwight earlier in the season while wearing a suit on the sideline it's only fitting that he'll still be wearing a suit in the playoffs this season while D12 is making a run with Houston. jmo

Well he is making millions of dollars to play games, not rehab, and when his doctors are telling the team he can play, it makes things awkward. But I think the doctors probably also feel pressure from their employers, whether contracted or not.
