In a pro day interview just now.. Asked about the qb battle he said Anthony is Anthony, he is awesome.. And he is teaching Brandon and Brandon is learning from Anthony....

What do you guys think about that answer?

You have to appreciate both attitudes. Jennings for wanting to reach out and help his competitor and Brandon being mature enough to accept the tutelage from Jennings.

Do you want him to trash his teammate?

All I can think of is that I really don't need the thought of "Fournette" and "Pro day" going through my head in a sentence together yet.

obviously he should have said "I hate Anthony Jennings. He sucks. If Les Miles doesn't start Brandon Harris next year, me and Brandon are going to transfer."

It just shows how much of team first guy Jennings is. People can shite on his on field play from a year ago but one thing no one can shite on, is this young man's character.

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with this.

And so it is and will be for the next 5 months....the over-analysis and pointless picking apart of every comment that comes out of Harris and Jennings mouth.

You sound like middle school boys talking about the girl they have a crush on.

"She looked at me. Does it mean she likes me? She kinda smiled, maybe it means she wants me to talk to her? Or maybe I had food on my chin. What does it all mean?"

I see it as Jennings being a leader by example that will do whatever he can to help the team, even by helping the QB who is trying to surpass him. If every kid had Jennings heart and resolve on this team, we would never lose a game. If Jennings had the talent, he would be a #1 pick. I think it's why they have kept Harris back. If he puts in the same effort as Jennings, he has the potential to be great.

That's where you messed up.. The comment didn't come out of either of their mouth.. Came out of Fournette mouth..

Reading wayyy too much what an 18-year-old is saying about a fellow teammate.

I dont see why Jennings teaching Harris is an issue to people. Just because he hasnt performed great on the field doesnt mean he doesnt know what to do or have the knowledge to do it. He may just lack the skill set to do what he needs to be successful. There are tons of coaches who were shitty athletes but are good teachers of the game.
