We'll be in BR mid April. We have some food issues and I'm wondering if there are any new restaurants that offer a wide variety of non-fried foods, salads and diabetic-safe choices. Thank you!

restaurants that cater to diabetics? Not sure. Not a restaurant, but there is the Truly Free Bakery that caters to diabetics and people with diet restrictions.

I don't know about new restaurants, but most will offer something like grilled fish or chicken and you can nix a sauce. Even Gino's serves a grilled chicken kabob with a salad and grilled fish options.

Not sure whether you're looking for casual or whether it matters.

At Ruth's Chris, you can get a petite filet with a salad and/or asparagus, for example.

Mansur's usually offers fresh fish prepared by your choice, sauteed, grilled etc...

Chelsea's is mentioned often for vegan options which should fit your needs.

I'd peruse some menus to see what you find with the best options for those in your party. Some other folks will have some other suggestions. These are just a few that popped into my head.

Based on your user name and requests, I feel bad for whatever restaurant you decide to visit.

thank you so much to all those who offered useful, considerate information. as for the last response, it's not worth a dignified response.

You might find some things at Galatoire's Bistro as well, in the way of a fish dish or a seafood salad.

TJ Ribs has grilled chicken salad and a plate. There's a gluten free menu and there's probably something on that which might work that's grilled. I think there's a bunless turkey burger, maybe.

It's a chain, but Zoe's Kitchen has a lot of salads and non-fried stuff.
Maxwell's Market is good with salads

Our Daily Bread on Florida Blvd might be able to accommodate. I know diabetics have sugar issues and stuff, but no clue what kind of diet restrictions that entails.
