Pros and Cons of bumper pull vs fifth wheel? I want a smaller lightweight camper and have pup rated to pull 7400 lbs. I know there are piles of opinions just don't want to buy and be sorry....

I have both and the only pro is the 5th wheel has a larger shower in it and more storage.

5er tracks better. Easier to hook up IMHO.

5th wheel can get in waaaay tighter places (when backing up) compared to a bumper pull, won't beat you as bad when pulling, and is way more stable in regards to rocking/swaying when pulling.
The only advantage I can think of with a bumper pull is the ability to put a 4 wheeler in the bed and still pull the trailer.

Fifth supposed to be easier to hitch and back in. I've only had bumper pulls and never had problems. I'll tell ya this though, if you have little ones make damn sure to get a slide out! Haha

What is your available payload.
If your max toe is 7400lbs forget about a fifth wheel, and you will be very limited on bumper pull.
