I love that they refused to bend to the PC crowd and came out on top. Wish more large companies had stones like that, and whether or not I agree with them (I don't) I like that standing for something was above the dollar

Chick Fil A basically prints money. It's amazing what being nice, clean, and fast compared to your competition will do for you.

I guess I mean I just don't like that their owner does that. It doesn't influence my purchasing decisions, but the point was I have a lot of respect for him. He put his values over the dollar and he fought PC bullies and won.

It's funny, as a child it was always the Christian groups trying to censor my content. Now I hear Howard stern, who fought a huge battle with the FCC mind you, call Ted Cruz a whacko because he doesn't think the government should regulate the Internet

the world is not without irony

eh, I'm fine with blasting a company but don't pick the fricking HS chick working the drive thru as your target. I may have a little sympathy if he did it to CEO or other bigwig.

the girl handled it like a champ and i'm confident they hooked her up.

This is why Scruffy hates the internet warriors. These punishments are not right.

You're telling me there's no pro-gay fringe liberal corporations that can/will hire this guy? He should be a hero to those types.

Agree. Plus after three years, this story is pretty much Germans. If you mentioned the jerk who berated a Chik-Fil-A employee, how many people would be able to tell you his name without Googling?

Add in that he has a very common name, and he should be able to find a decent job somewhere.

The guy acted like a jerk but I don't that that means his entire life deserves to be completely ruined over it.

Man. This may be the greatest story I've seen in a long time. I hope that miserable frick is one day working for Rachel after she gets her education because SHE was the smartest and most professional person in that fricking video.

Yep. I don't agree with what he said. But the punishment doesn't fit the crime, IMO.

Although this is a little different than the marketing chick who tweeted out the AIDS joke.

Screw that dude and his family. He hadn't thought his actions through enough and only thought of himself. He thought he was going to be cute and an Internet celebrity without thinking about the family he was supposed to provide for. So now he's the failure he should have been exposed as and his family will see him for it. They will learn to keep their mouth shut when it means risking their livelyhood becuase daddy thought he was right. Enjoy those foodstamps jerk off.
Hooray! One more person on the government dole and unable to find employment because he got you and other idiots all hot and bothered when he made rude comments to a person you don't know and will never meet.

There is a LOT of vindictiveness on TD. It's troubling really.

I'm totally surprised that some liberal trashy POS company hasn't hired him. Especially in Portland. Starbucks probably has an opening for him.

Ya know, it's one thing to go down for saying something dumb. But, this dude thought this shite out, got in his car with the specific goal of fricking with a goddamned drive thru worker and then, well, I mean..........frick what he said...........he was a COMPLETE a-hole.

The problem he has is the type job he is technically qualified for is WHOLLY incompatible with this video and no one in their right mind is going to hire him for that type of job. Would you? I wouldn't.

The unfortunate reality for him is that the internet is forever and no matter who hires him, his video will never stop looking like grade A, top not dickishness.

His other problem from an employability standpoint appears to be that he isn't exactly 100% remorseful about it.

It's just hard to apply for a top notch executive job when you are on worldwide video interacting with a drive thru worker and SHE is the one who seems the most well put together mentally in the video.

You want to be an executive, you should probably not look like the weaker intellect when dealing with a fast food chick.

Also, it should be pointed out that this dude ABSOLUTELY would have been fine with EVERYONE in Chic Fil A losing their livelihoods. Moreover, I suspect he STILL feels that way.

So, um, sympathy meter is low.

So?

Did we not have a thread a few weeks ago discussing how it is idiotic that one bad decision ending up on the internet has destroyed lives?

Does that only apply to those who's opinions we agree with?

Why? You could damn near 100% assure that anything remotely like this would never happen again with this guy.

It should be no shock no company is hiring him. No one will hire him as an exec because execs need to posses or at least seem to posses sound judgement. He clearly doesn't have that. I'm sure he could find work if he lowered his expectations a little.

Of course. This is Tigerdroppings. He expressed a liberal point of view so of course the majority think he should suffer, suffer, then suffer some more.

I guarantee that if the political position had been reversed, they'd be decrying the "PC police" who ruined that poor family's life.
