Wow. Just saw the wind's at 20-28mph with gusts up to 40. Any under par round is incredible on that course.

Eta: The best finished round right now is 3 over.

Good, we will separate the golfer from the ball hitters. I like when the weather it brutal, it makes the game interesting. Plus, I love hearing the pros cry about it.

Over 78 scoring average morning wave. 0 rds under par. Evening will be around 74. 4 shot difference. That sucks for morning wave.

Wind looks almost completely dead now. Afternoon wave lucked out big time. Sucks for guys like John Peterson who had a top 5 morning round, but may not end up in the top 20.

Yea I wouldn't mind a handicap system for this type if scoring. It could be 4-6 shot difference. That's not fair playing same day.

I mean, at least 40 out of the top 48 scores are from the afternoon tee times. It's just crappy luck, but that sucks so hard, especially for the people trying to work their way into the masters field.

Luck of the draw. Supposedly it evens out in the end.

I wonder what the wind forecast is for the AM?

It works it's way out when the weather is the same each day. I remember a British open where the morning Thursday got the worst. Then again Friday afternoon got the worst. They should have a system to fix this. The weather tomorrow will be nothing like today.

An old friend was co-medalist at the Monday qualifier and this is his first PGA tour event. Shot +3 this afternoon and is tied for 45th. His name's Lance Lopez...keep an eye on him.

So Aaron Baddeley holed out from the tee box on the par 4 17th today for a hole-in-3 after taking an unplayable. There has to be video of this somewhere.

Yea, he is. He's the nephew of the ones that run Greatwood, Riverpointe, and SP. I think his dad's the greens keeper.

He's a local junior golf legend in Houston. I used to play in money games with him when I was 17 and he was 13.

He's 26-27 I think. He turned pro when he graduated from UT, but he's been playing on the lower pro tours. This is his first time in a PGA tour tournament.
