It absolutely will freeze. Especially trying to do a second batch.

For some searching for these tanks that have never used them before, they are also commonly called 20 lb tanks (and the "5 Gallon" is actually 4.7 Gallons). But the ones being recommended for double jets is also called a 40lb tank (9.4 Gallons and not 10).

5 gallon and 10 gallon are the common references to them but don't get hung up on that.

I've got a double jet burner and a rocket pot. I think it's frozen once with a 5 gallon tank. And that tank was almost empty.

A freaking single jet burner will freeze your tank if the fuel is low enough.

100lb tank. I've thought about jumping to this one and getting rid of the 5's I have all over the place. You have any issues with portability?

yea the jet isnt the bottleneck on the 5gallon tanks. I mad a fitting that puts to tanks onto one jet... it almost cut in half the boil time.

Just want to reiterate that a 5 gallon propane tanke WILL freeze with a double jet. Hell, the 10 freezes if you let it get low enough. That double jet is a bad mammajamma.

It's been stated multiple times on here that you just need to put a 5 gallon tank in a tub of water and it won't freeze.
