Who else is heading to City Park to enjoy the best BBQ event in the state and two of the best touring road warrior bands out there?

Working volunteer from 9-2 then it's on.

Only band worth seeing on Friday night is Earphunk. Saturday has the good stuff.

Super psyched about both Strand of Oaks and DBT. And word is J Roddy Walston is DJing the Messi Swine tent Saturday night after his show.

I think it's the best record of 2014 for me after really listening to it a lot.

War on drugs - lost in the dream
Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern sounds...

Are my top 2 of 2014

St Paul and the broken bones, strand of oaks, spoon and jack white were all right behind those for me.

all excellent albums. I voted on war on drugs being the best but I think this record actually has more depth to it.

Great list and almost identical to mine minus Gary Clark Jr's live album.

Wound up going Saturday due to my friends' schedules. Been hearing good things about the bands but haven't heard much

slow down there. WoD has layer after layer throughout. SoO is very good, but I must disagree with you in your comparison. Either way, both are great albums

Will be driving from Lafayette, so I don't think I'll make it in time for Strand of Oaks. Ready to get phunky at 7:45 though
