Right now hes the 6th ranked WR prospect behind Cooper, White, Parker, Strong and DGB. So he will go in the early 2nd so there's no way we get him unless we take him at 31 or move up in the 2nd. Don't see either happening.

Just heard Mel Kiper on the radio. He said Gregory's drug test, coupled with his injury history could push him back to the 20s. Then asked about who could move up, he said Perriman's 40 time has moved him into the top 15 and he could go #10 overall.

Not sure if that drops White or Cooper or if all three go top 10. Either way, somebody drops.

Also, he talked about Dupree moving up and said that New Orleans was a likely landing spot.

All Kiper on the radio, so TIFWIW.

If Perriman moves into the Top 10, along with 2 other receivers, with the 2 qbs going ahead of us, that will leave a lot of solid talent left at pass rusher and maybe OL with Scherff and Collins. At this point, I think in order of realistic players potentially dropping to us, I'd take Shelton, Scherff, and then Collins. After that it's a crapshoot of a couple of DE/OLB players. Leonard Williams and Fowler are my 1 and 2, but they just aren't dropping.

Yeah, I think some combination of Williams, Fowler, Winston, White, Cooper, Perriman, Shelton, Beasley, Scherff, and maybe Waynes or Collins go top 10.

I think Mariotta slides. But that's just like my opinion.

That leaves Dupree, Gregory, Ray and either Waynes or Collins. The pash rushers all scare me this year. It's all "potential" type guys like Dion Jordan. I think the DE/OLB position has become like the NBA draft where athletes with tons of potential go really high, but never amount to much.

How does 1 team seem to get "fooled" like that though?

Nobody was going that high on Jordan but Miami went nuts for him. I really hope the Saints stay put or trade back. Unless a bunch of WR's go and the 2 QB's go and the Saints have some shot at Williams or Fowler, then just chill and take a guy they want at 13.

How does a mid 2nd round guy go to a top 10 guy with a blazing 40? They already knew that size, speed, and athleticism were his best attributes and that he needed to improve his route running, his hands, and intangibles in general. How the hell does running a 4.2 40 make him any better? I guess I could see him taken about #30 in the 1st round, but a fast 40 is very overrated. He's a big play guy that needs a lot of coaching. Sounds like a 2nd round WR to me. I like him more than Sammie Coates, but both of them are comparable prospects imo.

I dont kno. Just telling ya what I heard. Parker was always the 3rd best WR option after White and Cooper and was projected to go in the teens. I guess Perriman passed him up and maybe he thinks there will be a run on WRs early.

As for Dion Jordan, he wasn't the only one that year. Jordan, Mingo and some other player were all athletic guys teams fell in love with early in the draft.

I understand your stance. I'm talking about these "experts" on ESPN and the media in general that bust a nut over a fast 40 time and vault someone into the top 10. They always do it and it's almost always an overreaction. I'd be happy with Perriman at 44 for us. I think 31 is too early. There are way too many good WR's in this draft to reach for a project guy with big play ability and a high ceiling.
