another ethanol type question:

the previous owner used seafoam during fill ups.

I see a lot of people prefer stabil. Can additives be switched or should I just keep using what he was using to stay consistent?

generally, Stabil is for fuel treatment for Ethanol and storage, Seafoam is used mainly to "clean out" the fuel system. Alot of people are recommending Startron vs seafoam now since it doesnt have as much alchohol in it.

And no, there is no issue with switching back nad forth.

so i will still need to add stabil if i use any gas with ethanol?

Seafoam states that it stabilizes fuel as well as clean the fuel system. I'd stick to stabil though and, depending on frequency of boat use, use Seafoam once or twice a year.
