That's not a great deal. You can get 7970s for a good bit cheaper

No, because people selling PC parts on craigslist are usually delusional. For example, you can get 285s brand new for less than $180.
You'll need to refresh me on your build, but unless power efficiency is a concern, the superior 280x is like $200 brand new. You could probably get a used 290 on ebay for not too much more than that, or a 7970 for less.
