I know I am literally putting the cart before the horse here but I need to know what size utility trailer I will need for a Gravely ZT X 42.

Buying the mower on Friday and I have no trailer to bring it home.

TIA

Measure the deck width on the mower and get a trailer that is at least 2 feet wider between the rails. Length should not be an issue.

So if the specs say the width is 52" with the chute, I should be ok with a 6' x 8'?

Eta: looking at wrong model. Width is 56" up, 64" down

10x6 or 12x6 seem to be the msot versatile sizes. I have a 5x8 and its fine for a 48" cut riding mower, but I am constantly needing it a little wider or a little longer.

They delivered mine for free.

I would get bigger than what you need for the mower if you need to buy a trailer for other reasons. 6'-6" x 12' is a good all around size IMO.

I would go with a 77"(6'5) x 12

Thanks to all that posted.

I will be transporting the mower between properties after buying and didn't feel like having to borrow the neighbors trailer once a week to do so.

Going with a 6x10 trailer that should be ready for me tomorrow.
