Yes or no....I'm in the yes camp

No, why would I? So I could go around telling people that I love America more than them?

I care more about the quality of the product than where it was made
Posted on 3/25/15 at 9:27 am to Jawja_Joe
Is the quality the same? Warranties and such?
If so, no.

10% on a $2 pack of gum? Sure.
10% on a $40,000 vehicle? No thank you.

If the American-made version was at least 10% higher quality. It won't be.

AS long as the quality and value is there... absolutely.

It better have at least 15% better quality for it to be worth it iMO.

If the item is qualitatively better, sure.
I actively seek American-made options.

Yes but only if the quality is there

Depends on the product. Sorry, I'm not paying 10% more on a car because it was made in America. Detriot is screwed either way.

and the thing about that is nowadays you can't just go by the name on the vehicle to tell where it was made. That Chevy or Ford you see going down the road was probably assembled in Mexico while that Honda or Toyota very well may have been assembled here in the U.S.

10% yes, but this question is worthless because for most products, making to in the United States would cost way more than 10% more.
Take for instance, a PS4. That thing costs $381 to make overseas. It retails for $399. If you made it in the USA, the labor cost would go up to where it costs ~$650 to make.
