I am hearing that his current top 4 is LSU, FSU, NC, and A&M. He had Auburn pretty high on his before from what I remember. Anyone have any insight?

Unless something just changed from the other day, Auburn is in his top 4 with A&M looking in from outside

I just saw where LSU offered Tre Lamar out of GA too. The Wild Boyz are infiltrating Georgia this year.

I just love the linebackers that Steele is targeting. No more of those 6' 200 pound guys that just aren't meant to be in a 4-3

Not to be argumentative, but our LB corps were always pretty strong under Chavis. Especially the past few years, it seems we were not really a true base 4-3, we did a bunch of looks, primarily because of DB talent I imagine.

But I get your point, it appears we are no longer taking safety prospects and lining them up at LB.

It doesnt matter, we will be one of his 4-5 options, but he wont announce in 2015.

I was reading to see if anyone had said this - b/c so am I.

Our LBs have been good but not great, and it could be said to be our weak spot. In addition, these guys will allow more versatility and be able to take on OL.

I love these types of LBs.

LSU's linebackers were nothing special under Chavis. How many LBs were first day draft picks during Chavis' time at LSU? Kelvin Sheppard and Kevin Minter were the only players who played LB at LSU during Chavis' tenure who were drafted on the first day of the NFL draft. Kwon Alexander could become a third LB to be selected on the first day of the draft. That is not very good for 7 years worth of players.

I think we have had some bright stars come through. But it didn't live up the hype of what I was anticipating from Chavis and his resume.

Plus DJ Welter.......never-mind. I love you #31!
