You're a smart guy. Make intelligent posts often... But you're way out in left field here.

Did you read the next sentence? He was en route.

And your point ? He could have been in route and made a quick pit stop to do something he wasn't suppose to be doing.

Or he could have been en route and been the victim of a failed carjacking/robbery/etc.

It's possible, but since he was on a street full of abandoned house that cars never drive down it does raise as some speculation. His deliveries were not in that area.

This is where our justice system will fail. Even if the murderer(s) are caught they will get to go to prison and LIVE for the rest of their life when they should be shot in the street by firing squad. This guys poor kids will have to grow up in that shite hole part of NOLA with no father.

I loved Louisiana and everything about it. State pride and the whole shebang. Then I lived somewhere else for a while and I get an outside view of the Louisiana, and I can't stand it.

I'm not knocking anyone who loves it. There are some good things to the state and I get loving what you know. For me personally, I'm glad we left.

I feel the same way about Alabama. I was born in Alabama but moved to florida about five years ago. I still love alabama and the people there but what a shite hole of a state from a political and governmental standpoint. The entire state is controlled by a bunch of rich white trash rednecks and it will never change.

That was the part that jumped out to me. He was on a street full of vacant houses (not near his destination but possibly en route) with his car in park. Just doesn't seem right.

Pack all the gangs onto boats and ship them to an island with rations. Like a modern day Australia

The idea of 10,000 Nola hoodrats with pants at their knees on a desert island cracks me up.

Hopefully the truth will come out - he, ostensibly, knew the area. I delivered pizza a lifetime ago - stopping to check the address on the box or reset the GPS? I mean there are plausible reasons for him to be where he was (took a wrong street - a shortcut was blocked off, whatever) - and either had to stop or double back.

I'm not saying you can't be up to no good in the Ninth Ward, but it's not like this was a skinny, nerdy white dude from Kenner who ended up dead down there. I mean, he was supposed to be in that general area.

I am definitely not forming any negative conclusions towards the driver. Just thought it odd.

It's not the place, it's the people. Same deal in Birmingham. Had a Domino's guy get beaten to death over pocket change.

I agree.
At some point seems you gotta do something little more harsh to "the people"

It's apparent the deterrents we are using now isn't working.
I can hear my old granddaddy now.. Son I'm telling ya, They didn't act like that 50 years ago.
