Is there a way I can have my computer constantly run off of servers all over the world and visit the website?

I am pretty much clueless on this whole process so any input would help?

So no one knows why any website returns higher on a search than the next?

People will guess. It has to do with total hits, recent hits (trends), other hits in the domain, etc. along with other factors that take into account the searcher: location, previous site visits, etc.

They do. Its just that people get paid real money to take actual time to do it for you.

SEO - search engine optimization - look it up. The guys (and girls) who are good at it make a shite ton of money.

Nobody is going to give you this info for free on here

Fastest and easiest is to advertise using Google's AdWords. They are very effective, it's why Google has so much money. Getting listed at the top of the "organic" results is much, much harder.

It is impossibly difficult to game the system for better placement in the organic search results. And if you get caught even attempting it, your rank will drop immensely if you don't get delisted altogether.

The only sure-fire way to get ranked highly is to produce quality content, and to have other people/sites recognize that fact and link to you.

Pretty much everyone here knows. You aren't getting many serious answers because your question is kind of ridiculous. If it was so easy to get to the top of the results that it could be explained in one thread, then everyone in the world would be doing it. This leads to the obviously impossible result of everyone being ranked at the top.

My wife is a digital marketing consultant, and I listen and have learned a little.

You can get listed one of two ways, either by paying to be listed or to have your organic listing show up high on the list. Google the terms associated with your business and see if there are any paid ads already, if not, then it might not be that expensive to pick them up.

A few basics that help to be listed at the top organically are, you have to be posting relevant content on something like a blog that contains keywords, and you need to be linked to other sites that are relevant and considered trusted. The old trick of posting key words in white at the bottom of your page to increase relevance will get picked up by google now and your page will get anchored.

Basically if you have a legit business hire a good SEO consultant, but check references and get a good one, because too many out there don't know jack and you will be wasting your money.

If it is worth a couple thousand a month in retainer to drive business to your site, you can find pretty good help. It just depends on what kind of business you are and how much $ the extra traffic creates.

My wife helped a company here in Houston grow at an average pace of 7%/month for a period of almost 2 years using targeted marketing and keeping their organic rank at the top, what they paid her was minimal compared to the growth and $ they saw come in from her efforts. Their biggest problem was having sales staff and others keep up with the growth.

Sorcery!

I have no idea, but one of the companies I work with has a great SEO team and we get 8 legit potential customers a week that take the time to fill out a "Contact me" form. Improving our conversion rates for these inquiries is our primary growth driver.

They'll crush you for trying to game the system with fake page visits using their bot-filtering feature. They look for it, and they punish you for it in rankings without legit views to back it up. SEO is the best way to do it.

More text you used, the better. Flashy graphics don't mean as much. Back links help too.

You won't. Amazon spends BILLIONS trying and the FTC has evidence showing that Google just manipulated its own algorithm to put results that benefited them over Amzon on top. They will never let you win if they are playing the same game they are using their service.

Google + account plus youtube videos get you great results with organic searches.

Your key word usage is key as well.

The guy at Google Business practically talked me out of Adwords just because I was constantly top three when searched organically. I still run $15-25 a day in google ads, but we still see our Google+ listing being more prominent.
