No word on whether he was wearing a three piece patch.

A motorcyclist clocked at 102 mph in a 75 mph zone Sunday led police on a 40-mile pursuit before he was captured in Cloutierville, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office.

Natchitoches Lt. Benjie Phelps was patrolling on Interstate 49, just south of Natchitoches, around 4:10 p.m. when he clocked 20-year-old Kyle Damian Futch on his 2005 Yamaha RX1. Phelps tried to stop Futch, but Futch wouldn't pull over.

Louisiana State Police joined the chase, which left I-49 as Futch drove onto La. Highway 6 West into Natchitoches. He traveled around the bypass and to Natchez, where he circled a church and traveled back toward Natchitoches. Once in Natchitoches, he traveled down Rapides Drive to Jefferson Street to Keyzer Avenue before hitting South Drive.

From there, he got onto La. Highway 1 South and reached speeds of 130 mph as he ran through the communities of Natchez, Cypress, Montrose and Derry, reads the release.

Once he got into Cloutierville, he was stopped on La. Highway 491 near Canal Road and was arrested.

"During a search of a backpack on the suspect, deputies seized suspected narcotic pills," reads the release.

Futch, 20, of Church Point, was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, charged with speeding, careless and reckless operation of a vehicle, aggravated flight from an officer and possession of a controlled dangerous substance II.

In addition to those charges, a hold was placed on Futch by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office because of an "ongoing criminal investigation in Lafayette Parish."

Futch told deputies that he had been traveling to Natchitoches, according to the release.

Spent several days of my youth there.

Always figured it was the last place someone would look for someone.

Understandable but going that fast it seems he could've foind time to stop and toss before being caught. But I guess not. I'm kinda impressed the cops caught him although I'm more disappointed they wasted such resources to catch a speeder.

I wonder if he went up one of the roads winding with the river. Figured he could have crossed and hauled arse another way.

Didn't drive that area too much, might not have many routes leading away or may not have known the area too well.

I hope the young man doesn't get mudchecked in the slammer. Looks like a young photo of you know who.

They only found the drugs after the stop and arrest.

He was like any other speeder.

Most speeders pull over when the police are behind them.

Unlikely at speeds in excess of 100mph. Sounds like they were in his backpack- not pocket.

Yeah, if they were in his backpack they may as well have been on the dark side of the moon as far as him reaching them while going down the road is concerned... especially at that speed. I'm just glad the idiot didn't get anyone else killed due to his own stupidity.

He basically made a 40 mile circle. He was clocked south of the Natchitoches exit where he got off of I-49. He then made his way thru the city and ended up on Highway 1 heading south. Highway 1 runs parallel to I-49 that far south in the parish.
