I really hope he's another diamond found by a team that does well with late round/UDFA offensive linemen, but I just don't know.

The title of the thread isn't exactly what Loomis was quoted as saying. I'd like to grab a Guard in the first 3 rounds, even if it's just an eventual replacement as Evans, but I would be ok with Lelito as a starter. In fact, my opinion is that he will be starting, and drafting a Guard early makes Evans trade bait, or at worst a June 1st cut.

Hopefully that's what it means. There is a really easy way to correct that though...Scherff/Collins. The other way is to pray that some later round picks work out. Hopefully we go for the sure thing.

You're right. He said "leader" at left guard, which I figured everyone would assume meant starter.

I meant more of the offseason/season. Not a big deal, but it is a little misleading. "Entering the offseason as the favorite for LG" is a different statement than "entering the season as starting Guard." Like I said, it's no big deal, just wanted to give you a heads up before people lost their shite.
